Carletonville High School pupils reach district spelling bee final

Lizalise Magwanya and Itumeleng Meletse earn Top 8 places in the highly competitive district competition.

Two pupils from Carletonville High School recently proved their spelling skills after reaching the district final of the Spelling Bee competition.

Lizalise Magwanya secured fourth place in the contest, while Itumeleng Meletse finished eighth.

“The Spelling Bee is a challenging and highly competitive competition, requiring dedication, confidence, excellent language skills and perseverance.

Reaching the Top 8 at district finals is a remarkable achievement, one that deserves to be celebrated,” says the school’s spokesperson, Sandra Venter.


She added that the school is very proud of the two star pupils.
