Special cultural event in Carletonville

This interesting cultural event will take place on September 26.

A movement of readers has been active this year through “The Book Club Sessions’’ which have
been taking place regularly in Carletonville.

The Book Club, in partnership with the Khutsong Literary Club, will be hosting a session at the Carletonville tennis courts on September 26. The event will start at 12:00 and continue until 14:00.
The Topic is Culture Vs Tradition and the theme is What is Heritage?

The attendees are more than welcome to come with their traditional attire to represent their part of tradition or culture and everyone is going to have a say in why they are proud of and honored to be part of their ethical group.

The session is all about being patriotic where topics on culture will be discussed such as storytelling, language arts and music, fashion, food and creative expression as well as community,
identity and innovation.

In the topic of tradition there will be discussions around customs passed through generations, celebrations, rituals and customs as well as ancestral knowledge and heritage.
