Father kidnapped from Carletonville home

The attackers forced the door open.

Thugs struck a home in Vaal Street near Jongspan Primary School in Carletonville this week.The attack took place on September 9.

According to a woman (22) staying in a house on Vaal Street, she and her husband (24), as well as their child, were asleep in their room. They were, however, woken up at around 02:00 by someone trying to open the door.

The woman and her husband tried to force the door shut.

The thugs on the outside, however, fired a shot through the door that hit her husband.

Once he could not fight anymore, the attackers, who spoke broken isiZulu, forced the door open. They took the woman and her husband outside, but then told her to return to her room.

They grabbed the couple’s phones and then forced the husband with them into a car.

They then sped off.

The police are investigating house robbery, kidnapping, and attempted murder cases following the incident.
