House robbers grab Carletonville teenager

The police are investigating a house robbery.

A 17-year-old girl was tied up by armed robbers during a house robbery in Carletonville this week.

The incident occurred on October 12 at about 14:30 when the teenager was hanging up clothes outside her family home in Piet Retief Street and heard voices inside.

When she went inside, three unknown Sesotho-speaking men, one carrying a hammer, rushed towards her.

The criminals had broken the lock on the front gate and kicked the front door off its hinges to enter the property.

They seized the girl, dragged her to a bedroom, and tied her up before ransacking the house.

The thieves stole a TV set, cellphones, and clothing before fleeing the scene.

Although the teenager was left traumatised by the ordeal, she was physically unharmed.
