Carletonville and Fochville police members rewarded

Winners are automatically nominated for the provincial awards.

Police members of Carletonville and Fochville were recognised for their outstanding work during a recent regional event.

The SAPS in the West Rand District hosted their annual excellence awards on September 23. The awards were given to police members who went the extra mile to help the community during the police’s 2025/16 financial year.

Various members of the police in Carletonville were awarded for their hard work.

One of these stars was the Carletonville SAPS Domestic Violence and gender-based violence Co-ordinator, Sergeant Thabo Mathebula. He not only walked away with the Man of the Year award, but also received the second-place trophy for the best visible policing (Vispol) and operations employee of the year.

Sergeant Refiloe Queen Madelisa from the police in Fochville was also nominated in the category for the best visible policing (Vispol) and operations employee of the year.

Winners are automatically nominated as finalists for the Gauteng provincial awards to be held later this year.
