29 people were left injured this morning when the bus they were travelling on veered off the R50 outside of Secunda, Mpumalanga.
ER24 paramedics, along with several other services, arrived on the scene and found a large bus in the middle of a field, approximately 60 metres away from the road.
Several passengers were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that a total of 29 patients were found on the scene, their injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to a nearby medical centre for further treatment.
It is believed that the heavy mists were a contributing factor to this incident.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
