Although the IEC is still busy counting votes the ANC again has a clear lead in the Merafong City Local Municipality. According to News24, almost 70% of votes in Merafong have been counted so far. Currently the ANC is leading with 50.25%, followed by the DA with 15.03% and the EFF in a very close third with 13.89%. The VF Plus is fourth with 7.78%. It is still not sure when the counting will be finished, but it will probably be some time tonight.
