Somizi ‘SomGAGA’ Mhlongo has announced that he will be hosting Refilwe ‘Cassper Nyovest’ Phoolo’s Fill Up Orlando Stadium concert set to take place on October 29.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Somizi said it was an honour to be part of “this history in the making event as the MC”. He posted a picture of the concert’s poster with Cassper on it and wrote that tickets were still available for the event.

“Such an honor to be part of this history in the making event. As The MC. this boy @casspernyovest is fearless shemmm. But why [wouldn’t] he be when he’s got God. If u haven’t bought yo ticket yet, hurry up. Don’t leave it till last min and regret. #filluporlandostadium,” he wrote.

His fans were excited at the announcement, with one user saying he would be travelling all the way from Zimbabwe to attend the concert.

“I am jetting in from the land of RG Mugabe (Zimbabwe) 🇿🇼 for this… so excited, I wish it can hurry up and arrive…. we will be golden circle-ing u know how we do, nothing less than standard… kuthi ngihlanye manje so.”

After filling the Coca Cola Dome last year in October, Cassper Nyovest announced to his fans he hoped to fill Orlando Stadium, a 40 000-capacity venue. The Mama I Made It hitmaker had initially said it would cost him R25 million to fill the stadium and that he was struggling to get sponsors for the event.

That was until cellular giant MTN announced that it would be sponsoring the concert.

MTN said it was pleased to be the headline sponsor of the event, though it refused to disclose just how much it would be spending on the event.

Cassper took to Twitter to share the great news: “It’s not everyday a corporate company gets behind the dream of an African black child and genuinely help him/her. Ayeye MTN Ayeye!!!”

With MTN and Somizi behind him, we know the rapper will give his fans an experience they will never forget.
