Papa G accused of being a ‘blesser’

His girlfriend and mother of his children has also accused him of cheating on her with a new actress at his theatre.

Georgie ‘Papa G’ Zamdela, real name Darlington Michaels, has been accused of cheating and being a blesser by his long-time 35-year-old actress girlfriend Xoli Mkhize from Dube, in Soweto. Things started going sour for the couple, who were together for more than 10 years, when Mkhize left Papa G for allegedly cheating on her with another actress Khanyi Hempe, 29, the Sunday Sun reports.

This is apparently not the only reason Mkhize ended things with him. She told the tabloid that Papa G has been a blesser for young women at his Melisizwe Community Theatre. The mother of his two children claims he has also fired her from the theatre because she broke up with him.

Apart from the blessees, Papa G reportedly owes money to Mkhize and other young women who apparently told the paper he fired them after they refused to sleep with him.

The mother of his children says she does care about his “cheating ways”, as she has moved on with her life, but only wants her money back.

Responding to the allegations, Papa G told the paper he did not understand why Mkhize had become a topic to discuss, as he broke up with her three years ago. He further denied being in a relationship with Hempe, saying she only worked for him.

Hempe told the paper Mkhize was being jealous because Papa G used to buy her lunch. She denied having a relationship with him, saying the former couple had already broken up when she started working there.

Papa G, as popularly known by his Isidingo fans, was in the news late last year when he suffered a stroke that left him in a wheelchair, and he later accused the soapie’s producers of not giving him support in his time of need.

After quitting, the producers reportedly tried to woo the actor back, but to no avail.

“After working on a show for 16 years, I was very hurt when I didn’t get any support from them during the time I was sick,” he told The Citizen. Michaels appeared in his first feature film in 1986, according to IMDB
