Mthokozisi speaks out after assault case is dropped

Idols SA runner-up, Mthokozisi Ndaba plans to focus on his passion for making music now that charges of assault against him have been provisionally withdrawn.

A case of assault was opened by a 24-year-old woman, who claimed that an altercation between them allegedly turned violent.

The musician was arrested late last week and appeared at the Hillbrow Magistrates Court where he escaped being prosecuted due to a lack of evidence.

Speaking outside court, Mthokozisi told TshisaLIVE that nothing could stop him from making music, which he wanted to get straight back into.

“Obviously I will be returning to music. Nothing is stopping me,” he said.

The musician said that he would be “going home” now that the cloud of the court case had been lifted.

A few days after assault accusations against him emerged, Mthokozisi released a statement explaining that he had returned to Johannesburg to cooperate with police.

He said that all he wanted was for the law to take its course. “In as much as this has affected Me, the craft God Blessed me with, the family, friends & fans negatively but let us please let our SA law to handle the matter rightfully.”

The musician has made headlines across the country ever since he lost out on the Idols SA title to 16-year-old, Pazton Fielies and had to receive help to deal with the emotions of the loss.
