Katlego Maboe’s ‘friend’ tweets tell-all thread about his relationship, STIs and more
Ganca claims he has known the former 'Expresso Morning Show' presenter since 2012 and they bonded over their shared love of football and playing Fifa together.

A person who claims to have been close to TV presenter Katlego Maboe has spoken out.
Since the drama unfolded of Maboe’s cheating and alleged abuse against former partner Monique Muller, a Twitter user @MximYesess (real name Sipeto Loyiso Ganca) posted a thread of the downfall of his friendship with Maboe on Twitter.
Ganca claims he has known the former Expresso Morning Show presenter since 2012 and they bonded over their shared love of football and playing Fifa together.
A year after everything first unfolded, Ganca said he was ready to tell the “truth” of Maboe’s story from his perspective and said he was with the star in Ukraine when he allegedly cheated.
He broke down what he would touch on about Maboe, including the alleged sexually transmitted infection (STI) Maboe contracted, contravention of the protection order, alleged abuse and the South African Film and Television Award (Safta) nomination that was rescinded.

Ganca says he was a sports producer at the time during their early days at Expresso and they even lived together. He says when Maboe and Muller started dating, they were all cordial and spent time around each other a lot during that period.
Ganca says distance and time strained their friendship and made it difficult for them to stay close.
“When he was in [Johannesburg], he would not reach out. In fear of what type of argument that would start at home,” he wrote.
They would apparently meet up in the City of Gold, where Ganca said he noticed a change of behaviour in Maboe.
Gance explains Katlego allowed him to stay with him during their work trip to the Ukraine and where he opened up about his personal life. Maboe allegedly told him Muller was threatening to leave with their son if he decided to leave for the work trip.
“The reason for the threats? She was suspicious of the nature of Katlego and his Expresso colleague Zoe Brown,” he said.
Ganca posted pictures as proof of his friendship with Katlego on the Twitter thread. There are also old Instagram pictures of the pair over the years.
Ganca then went on to try and discredit Muller’s claims of Maboe giving her an STI and regarding the abuse allegations, he said people had to make up their minds from the “behaviour patterns” of Maboe.
“And ask, which party do they believe has the most plausible claim to being the victim of abuse? Seeing as both him [and] his partner have made the claim,” he said.
Ganca says he has seen messages from Muller’s family threatening to further expose Maboe to the public.
The Citizen has reached out to Maboe for comment and is still waiting for a response.
