WATCH: World Cup champ Franco Mostert surprises daughter at graduation

Although the Springboks only arrived back in South Africa on Tuesday, with a string of victory tours planned for them, Franco Mostert still put his family first.

They might be world champions, but the Springboks have shown on numerous occasions throughout the 2023 Rugby World Cup how important their families are to them.

Despite a gruelling schedule after winning the Webb Ellis trophy last weekend, Springbok lock Franco Mostert showed up at his daughter’s school graduation.

Mostert, who arrived back in South Africa on Tuesday with the rest of the Springbok team, melted hearts with his appearance, and his wife Juan-Ri Mostert took to Instagram to praise her husband for being such a great father to their daughter.

Accompanied by several photos of father and daughter together and a video clip of Joi graduating, Juan-Ri told Franco that he is “next level” for attending the graduation.

“We appreciate you and love you so much! You made her night!” Juan-Ri said.

The proud mother also praised her daughter for her accomplishment, adding how proud she was to see her adapt and do her thing.

Franco Mostert and his family at the Rugby World Cup

Franco had the support of his family throughout the Rugby World Cup tournament and even got to spend time with his wife and kids on the Springboks’ off days.

Juan-Ri and their three kids were never far from the rugby field when Franco had a match, and she shared several cute snaps of the family celebrating Franco and the Springboks’ wins.

“This was an amazing experience! So grateful that we took the kids,” Juan-Ri wrote in one post sharing pictures of Franco taking their kids onto the rugby field with him after the game.

The Springbok family

Juan-Ri also shared a short video clip of life inside the hotel with kids and the Springbok team during the World Cup.

In the video clip, Franco is seen blowing raspberries on his son’s tummy and then carting the kids around on one of the hotel baggage trollies.

Eben Etzebeth and his wife Anlia also joined the fun, taking Franco’s kids for a bicycle ride.
