Former Real Housewives of Durban reality star Nonkanyiso “LaConco” Conco was a little star-struck by the men in green and gold on Tuesday morning.
LaConco joined thousands of other Springbok supporters at the OR Tambo International Airport to welcome the two-time World Cup-winning Springbok team home after their nail-biting victory against New Zealand at the Stade de France last Saturday.
LaConco meets Eben Etzebeth and other Bok stars
Conco, who is a star in her own right, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share her awe-struck moments with Springbok players.
“Moments of treasure. My gratitude to you guys and the creator is small, my heart is dreaming of joy and pride! A warm welcome back home,” the Forever Thina host told the team.
In the first slide, LaConco is dressed in tight black Nike pants, a green Nike South Africa tracksuit top and black Crocs boots outside the terminals of the airport, smiling brightly for the camera.
The second slide, where Conco posed with Retshegofaditswe ‘Tshego’ Nché commonly referred to as Ox, had many of her followers mesmerized.
“Why am I keeping on going back to slide number 2?” Instagram user Thuledu Mkhize pondered with several other followers agreeing that the second slide also really caught their eye.
While LaConco and Ox make a dashing couple in the photograph, the rugby player has been in a committed relationship for six years with his high school sweetheart Katya Kuropas.
In the third frame, the television personality looks dwarf-like posing next to Eben Etzebeth, standing tall at 2.03m.
Instagram user Tumie Bliss Modise couldn’t help but express her amazement at how tall the rugby players are.
“Hau Mnge, how tall are these men? Phela wena you taller than me. You looking stunning though,” she commented.
Cheslin Kolbe and Springbok captain Siya Kolisi also featured in LaConco’s gallery post.
The Springboks will embark on a four-day rugby tour “to convey the team’s appreciation and proudly showcase the trophy as it embarks on another four-year journey in South Africa.”
The trophy tour will kick off this Thursday in Johannesburg, Soweto, and Pretoria. The Boks will also travel to Cape Town and Durban to thank their fans.
