Reality TV star TT Mbha recently opened up about his estranged friendship with media personality Somizi Mhlongo.

TT was the latest guest on Engineer Your Life, where he also opened up about mental health, trust, and self-love.

Speaking about his friendship with Somizi, he said people grow and hurt each other. However, he highlighted: “When that happens, it is important to take time apart because we have become different people.

“We needed time apart so that we can individually move our lives in a direction that is suitable for that season of our lives.”

Many witnessed Somizi and TT’s friendship on Living The Dream With Somizi until the friendship fizzled out last year.

‘Life is too short to harbour on things that you could have fixed’ – TT Mbha

When asked if he apologised to Somizi, TT said yes. He said when he has wronged someone and realised his wrongs, he is always the first person to apologise.

“I believe life is too short to harbour on things that you could have fixed. So, I never had relationships where I wondered what could have happened. I appreciate the value it gave me at the time, but I also appreciate the lessons.

“The power of releasing someone releases you. When we get into public spaces or bump into each other at events, I am gonna avoid you, imagine that …”

He said he apologised for specific instances where he caused hurt to Somizi, adding that on his side, he had done his part in trying to find common ground and forgiveness.

“We bump into each other on red carpets and I don’t like animosity or ducking each other. It was important for me to apologise.”
