Royal news: Queen leaves Harry out of COP26 speech, Meghan may have skeletons

By Lerato Maimela

In this week’s royal news, Meghan and Prince Harry have been labelled “attention seekers” after sending a letter to world leaders who were at the COP26 climate summit, the same weekend they were not present to attend the event.

Queen Elizabeth snubbed Prince Harry from her speech at COP26, after acknowledging her late husband, son and grandson Prince William, and author Tom Bower believes that Meghan may have skeletons in her closet which could shock the queen.

Queen set for shock as Meghan Markle’s skeletons could be released

Author of Prince Charles’s biography, Tom Bower, is currently working on an unauthorised book about the life of the Duchess of Sussex and he feels that she needs to talk to her father and older brother to stop them from revealing more embarrassing information about her.

Speaking to Closer, Tom said Thomas Markle may be keeping some things back, and he might reveal all of Meghan’s skeletons if he is provoked.

“I think, much to her dismay, more will come out. I think Thomas is keeping some things back and that he has a lot of embarrassing stuff on her. There are skeletons in the closet and, when provoked, I think the secrets could all come out,” said Bower.

Meghan and Harry fight to stay in limelight after being left out of COP26 event

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote a letter to world leaders urging them to honour a pledge to send Covid-19 vaccines to low-income countries, and sent the letter out on the same weekend as the COP26 climate summit.

Jonathan Sacerdoti believes this may be because the couple was feeling left out as seniors of the royal family dashed out to Glasgow to attend the event.

He also feels, however, that this was their attempt to remain in the limelight.

“I think it was significant in terms of the timing, in the same way that everything Meghan and Harry do is significant in terms of the timing.

“Which is to say they won’t let a single opportunity for attention and publicity pass them by and I think COP26 is one of those opportunities,” said Sacerdoti.

Queen Elizabeth leaves Prince Harry out of her touching COP26 speech

After spending a night in hospital, doctors urged the queen to get some rest and hold off on making public appearances and fulfilling any hectic royal duties.

The queen could not make it to the COP26 climate summit which took place over the weekend, but still managed to be present and give her speech virtually.

In her speech, she called on world leaders to create a much more stable and safer future for the planet, and also made it clear that the work which is being done to change the world is not just for ourselves, but for future generations.

What shocked some of the viewers and attendees of the event was her failing to mention her grandson Prince Harry in her speech, after making it clear that she was proud of her son Prince Charles and her grandson Prince William.

“It is a source of great pride to me that the leading role my husband played in encouraging people to protect our fragile planet, lives on through the work of our eldest son Charles and his eldest son William. I could not be more proud of them,” said the queen.

The Queen seen cruising by herself around Windsor Estate since hospital visit

Queen Elizabeth was spotted cruising around Windsor Estate in her car by herself days after she was advised by her medical doctors to rest two weeks.

After news broke out that she was admitted into hospital for a single night, lovers of the monarch were worried abut her health, but she seems to be doing well and easing all public concerns.

The queen took her Jaguar for a drive, and she looked stylish as ever, wearing a headscarf and a pair of shades.
