WATCH: Mr JazziQ releases ‘All You Need Is Piano II’

JazziQ is also gearing up for his homecoming picnic.

Amapiano pioneer Mr JazziQ has dropped his highly anticipated EP titled All You Need Is Piano II.

The Halloween-inspired EP comprises nine songs, including a hit lead single, Hamba Naye, which was released a few days ago on Friday the 13th.

JazziQ said Hamba Naye is inspired by Amapiano star Pcee and his experience of the nightlife. He explained: “The song is about a girl who initially was supposed to leave with us but has now left with a friend of ours instead of Pcee.”

“I’m thrilled to release this new EP”

He said music lovers can expect brand new sounds from Mozambique, as well as an introduction to new Black is Brown (his record label) artists such as Jandas.

“I’m thrilled to release this new EP. We wanted to specifically release it around this time, as we believe that the Piano we make is inspired by Halloween. Moz is dark and mysterious, and we wanted to use this opportunity to highlight how different and full of suspense our sound is,” he said.

He added: “You will catch that reference on songs such as Baya Hlanya, Hercules and Chants Of Moza. I took on the role of Jason from the movie Friday the 13th because of Jason. I feel he is a misunderstood character in a world of darkness.”

On this offering, JazziQ also worked with emerging superstars like Pcee, Justin99, MaTen, and Nobantu Vilakazi, to mention a few.

All You Need Is Piano II is available for streaming on all digital platforms.

JazziQ’s homecoming picnic

On 16 December, JazziQ will host a homecoming picnic in his hometown, Alexandra.

“I am doing this picnic because I want to reconnect with my people in my hometown because that’s where I started my whole career. That’s the place that built JazziQ, it only makes sense for me to go back and give thanks.”

He said the picnic will also give small businesses a chance to come and showcase their products.

“We are going to have a workshop as well, just to educate the young ones about the industry. If you are thinking of becoming an artist manager or sound engineer, for example, you will come out of the workshop with knowledge about that and how to do it successfully.”
