By Lily Rose

The former Sharks rugby player has been selected as the man who attempts to find his future wife on national TV.

He’s handsome, smart and successful, what more could you want in a bachelor?

Well, there is a lot more to the hunky Cape Town based bachelor than meets the eye.

Here are five things you need to know about SA’s very first TV bachelor

He is an international model

Lee is a 10/10 on the hunk-o-meter and it comes as no surprise that he is an international model.

He has worked with several high-profile fashion brands and has even appeared on a few magazine covers!

He is an animal lover

There is nothing sexier than a man who loves and appreciates animals.

He is a successful entrepreneur

Lee is more than just a handsome face. Before hanging up his rugby boots to focus on modelling full time, he owned a gym.

He currently owns a cleaning business called Clean Smart and a website development company.

He is a philanthropist

As if being handsome, smart and successful wasn’t enough, Lee is also philanthropist. He founded #LiveHopeLoveSA – a non-profit origination that provides “a message of love, hope and encouragement to those with little time left on Earth”.

Stars such as Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and TV presenter Katlego Maboe have shares stories of encouragement on the NPO Instagram page.

He is looking for real love

At the end of season one of The Bachelor SA, Lee is likely to propose to one of the 25 women who will appear on the show. He says his life goal is to have an “amazing family and life”.

“I do know that this is an unusual way to find true love, but something deep inside me tells me that the universe is going to give me what I need right now – the woman of my dreams. I can’t wait to meet and get to know the 25 ladies. Chemistry often works in mysterious ways and I have no preconceived ideas about who I want to spend the rest of my life with,” he said in a statement.
