New trailer launches for ‘Pokémon Detective Pikachu’

The already massively hyped movie's new trailer has now amassed six million views.

One of the internet’s most hyped movies Pokémon Detective Pikachu launched a new trailer yesterday and it has already amassed more than six million views.

Before we go any further, yes Detective Pikachu is a real film. When the first trailer broke in November last year, many were theorising that due to the presence of Ryan Reynolds, who stars as the voice of Pikachu, it was merely a teaser for the new Deadpool movie, but this has subsequently been denied.

Based on the game of the same nameDetective Pikachu focuses on Tim Goodman (Justice Smith), whose detective father has recently gone missing. With the aid of his father’s Pokémon partner, Pikachu, with whom only Tim can communicate, Tim sets out on “a thrilling adventure to unravel the tangled mystery” of his father’s disappearance.

The film has already generated thousands of columns and threads on Reddit and has become something of an iconic meme since the launch of its first trailer, so this new release is guaranteed to excite.
