Shado warns contestant’s mom on SA’s Got Talent

SA's Got Talent on September 20th had a combination of brilliant and horrible performances, and as usual, Shado did not beat around the bush in her judgments.

“Who did you come with,” Shado asked Franecia Fratjies, who told the judges she could sing well. Her mother was brought on stage, and Shado said to the supportive parent, “don’t do this to your child again. Please don’t bring her to the stage to sing again”. The beauty queen and her parent left the stage cold.

Carol sang for the crowd, and she got three buzzes before she could go any further. In response to the poor performance, DJ Fresh said: “Thixo wase George Goch!

Then the Parktown Boys played drums. A part of the crowd was impressed. “That was out of this world!” DJ Fresh said yes. A group called Confidential got the crowd singing along and screaming. “Lalla finds you guys cute,” Shado said.

12-year-old Henno William wowed the crowd, including the often difficult to impress Shado. The audience chanted “Henno William! … Henno William!… Henno William!” while he was singing.

K-N9NE got the audience screaming even more when he mixed his rap in IsiZulu and SeTswana. Lalla said she was impressed, especially with the fact that he is white and can rap. “K-N9NE wa loma son (K-N9NE you bite),” said DJ Fresh.

Viana danced for the crowd. “I’m dizzy on your behalf,” Fresh. “You are beautiful to watch,” said Lalla.

After being dropped by his dance partner, Thabo from Progressive Dance Club wowed the audience with his brilliant dance moves. “You understand performance today. You are a superstar, you have three yeses,” Lalla said.

The Mighty Voice sang A capella and the audience was impressed and kept screaming. “But you sing about love like it’s something you experienced intensely,” Shado said, and they got three yeses.

World at South played the acoustics version of Titanium, and they got three yeses.

Acoustic Element played a guitar and a violin and a bit beat boxing. “I did enjoy it,” Shado said.
