Lebo M says there’s nothing to celebrate about what government has done for the creative industry in 30 years of democracy
Indlovu Youth Choir.
Veteran TV personality Felicia Mabuza-Suttle took a four-hour flight to meet up with Limpopo’s Ndlovu Youth Choir ahead of their final performance on America’s Got Talent tonight. The choir has been trending, with South Africans wishing them well in the competition.
The Ndlovu Youth Choir, which has been wowing television audiences on America’s Got Talent, announced on their Facebook page earlier this month that they were through to the finals of the prestigious show.
They said at the time: “Dreams do come true!”
The Limpopo-based choir received a standing ovation after their amazing performance in the semifinals. They have consistently wowed the judging panel with their energetic covers of classic pop songs.
They chose Eric Clapton’s song Higher Love for their semifinal act, and it was enough to take them to the final round, and they may yet go all the way.
The choir wrote on social media: “We pray that our performance was a reminder to the world that we are all connected by our spirit of humanity. Love is an unbreakable force which will always conquer hate.”
Mabuza-Suttle has now represented South Africans in wishing them well on their final, as they continue to receive love on social media.
She said: “Took a four-hour flight to the #WestCoast to keep my promise to Ndlovu Youth @ChoirAfrica! I promised to bring them some #MzansiMotherlyLove if they got into the finals. Love how these #Limpopo youth have bonded & are making waves in #Hollywood. You’re already winners! Yes, it was a 4hr flight but I would not have missed this for anything. A little motherly pep talk with my children from the #NdlovuYouth @ChoirAfrica before they go onto the biggest stage. They are our pride and joy! You are winners already. Good luck!”
