Pensioners treated to a meal

A local company treated some elderly residents to a fun lunch recently.

Pensioners from the Germiston Association of the Aged had a great day out recently.

They were invited to Hirsch’s Meadowdale for a pensioners’ lunch and the menu offered a delicious cheesy, bacon and mushroom fettuccini pasta.

Wesley Morris, the public relations officer at Hirsch’s Meadowdale, hosted the event and showed the women exactly how easy and cheap it is to prepare a really delicious meal.

“This was a great way to give back to the community, by entertaining the pensioners for the afternoon, and giving them an opportunity to see how a 3D TV works,” said Wesley.

Hirsch’s Meadowdale will be hosting more pensioners’ events in September.
