The Primrose SAPS recently arrested a 24-year-old man on charges of housebreaking and theft, going back to July, 2009.
The arrest was made after years of investigation and searching.
The housebreaking and theft were first reported to the SAPS on July 2, 2009.
The victim claimed that he had come home and found his kitchen window open. His electronic scale, DVDs and watch had been stolen and his computer was outside, and damaged.
“Our detectives have been looking for the suspect since the Primrose SAPS received the report in July 2009,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“The suspect was caught with the help of a micro-connectivity device used by the Boksburg SAPS.
“Upon further inspection of the suspect’s profile we, the Primrose SAPS, discovered that he is also wanted in connection with a housebreaking case in Elsburg.”
The suspect was detained at the Primrose Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
Following his court appearance, the suspect will be transferred to the Elsburg Police Station, where he will be charged with yet another housebreaking.
