South Africa is in the spotlight again, this time for its haunted hotels. According to the research conducted by the advanced hotel search engine www.travelmyth.com, seven of the world’s most haunted hotels are in South Africa.

Couple arrested for assault in Katlehong

Katlehong police recently arrested a man and woman, aged 46 and 31 years old respectively, for the assault of a police officer and for failing to comply with police orders. The arrests were made while police were on patrol in Khumalo Section, in Katlehong.

Woman nabbed for armed robbery

A 32-year-old woman was arrested by the Primrose police, recently, in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Malvern East in July. The incident was first reported to police by two female victims.

Employee opens common assault case against employer

A worker from a Wadeville-based company recently opened a case of common assault, against his employer, at the Elsburg Police Station. The victim opened the case after alleging the owner of the company which employs him found him in the company truck waiting to fill up with diesel at a filling station on Black Reef Road, Wadeville and assaulted him.

Residents of Elsburg, Estera and Klippoortje AH enter day three with no water

Residents in a number of Germiston suburbs entered their third day without water on Wednesday. According to residents who contacted the GCN, the areas affected are Elsburg, Estera and Klippoortje AH. The community were furious about the situation, especially as they received no feedback from the metro regarding the cause of the outage and how long it would take to resolve the matter.
