The festive season is almost upon us and what better way to get in the festive spirit than by viewing beautiful Christmas lights.
For a gorgeous light display in the Dinwiddie area make sure you take an evening drive past Dinwiddie Pre-Primary School.
The school is situated at 27 Bagdon Road in Dinwiddie and community members are welcome to come and view the lights.
The whole front of the school has been decorated.
Julienne du Toit, the principal of the school, told the GCN that she has wanted to do this for a number of years.
“We decided to call in Louis Prinsloo to do the installation of the lights for us,” she said.
“It took Louis a week to install all the lights and we are still adding to the display.”
Julienne added that when the children arrive at school in the morning they always get excited if new lights have been added to the display.
“The children and their parents love the lights and many have come to look at the school in the evenings,” she said.
Santie Rudman, the owner of the school, said that as there are a lot of people who are not going away they decided to put up the lights so people could come and see them.

“It is a nice family activity for people,” she said.
The school caters for children from three months old to Grade R and it has an aftercare facility for children from Grades One to Seven.
So make sure you add Dinwiddie Pre-Primary School on your list of festive places to view this holiday season.
The lights will be on display for the entire festive period.
