Communications official at the Vosloorus Police Station, Capt Piet Rossouw said Khoza was well known among his community in Vosloorus.

“He was so dedicated to his work, and always wore a smile on his face which is the reason why she was so popular among the community,” said Rossouw.

Khoza began his career as a police officer in January 1986 at Katlehong.

“I served there until December 1993 and then was transferred to Germiston, serving there until February 2002. After that, I went to Elsburg and worked until December 2004. In 2005 I was transferred to Vosloorus until my retirement on November 2018,” says Khoza.

He says he will miss the community of Vosloorus. He has had a good working relationship with them.

“We worked together well. The community was good to me and always said they were satisfied with my excellent service.”

In his retirement, he will rest and enjoy spending time with his family and his grandchildren. “But I don’t mind offering my services should the police ask for me to come to help.”

Station commander Brig Themba Denge wished Khoza well in the next chapter of his life.

“He was so dedicated to his work, and always wore a smile on his face which is the reason why she was so popular among the community,” said Rossouw.
