Young man allegedly clocked driving at 202km/h on N3 highway in Germiston
The EMPD High Speed Unit arrested five alleged speedsters on the weekend. They conducted speed law enforcement on Saturday in the Alberton area, on the R59 (Sybrand van Niekerk) south highway between Kliprivier and the R550 and on Sunday on the N3 south highway near the Rand Airport turn-off.
Woman arrested for drug possession
While on patrol in Rietfontein Road last Sunday, officers from the Primrose Police Station noticed a white Toyota Etios leaving a suspected drug house. They followed the vehicle and stopped it.
Young girl killed in shooting outside Katlehong North school
Katlehong North police have confirmed they are investigating two cases of murder and one of attempted murder following a shooting outside Izibuko Primary School, in the Nhlapo Section of Katlehong recently.
In July, work began to renovate and revamp the paediatric rooms at El-Shammah Home for Abandoned Babies and Place of Safety. Life Roseacres Hospital, as part of their Sizanani project, donated a number of items to the home to help with the renovations.
Resident demands that metro put an end to air pollution
An Estera resident is at her wits’ end as she claims the metro and ward councillor are doing nothing to combat the air pollution in the area.
