Bertha Gxowa Hospital Mortuary extends operating hours
The mortuary will also be open on weekends until 7pm.
The Bertha Gxowa Hospital announced a change in operating hours for their mortuary.
Thabile Mkhatshwa, spokesperson for the hospital, said they increased the hours.
“Previously, the mortuary was closed at 4pm on weekdays and was also closed on weekends. Due to the impact of the pandemic, we are unable to keep bodies for long as per the Covid-19 regulations for patients who have died because of the virus.”

Mkhatshwa said the mortuary will remain open until 7pm on weekdays.
