Jeppe High hosts 96th Flower Show

Held for its 96th year the school was filled with floral creations made by the learners.

With the start of the new year for Jeppe High School for Girls, learners and staff were on hand to welcome parents, past learners and the community to the colourful annual flower show.

This year the event was held at the school on February 23 and 24.

Each learner participates in the flower show and is encouraged to be as creative and imaginative as possible.

The learners are not provided with any formal training or instruction on how to arrange the flowers and instead express themselves freely.

Learners are encouraged to enter as many of the categories of the show as possible.

Some of this year’s categories included proudly South African, let’s get thrifty, paper flowers, Disney, Barbie, table centre pieces, succulents and the Olympics.
