Germiston youngster gets scholarship valued at R 170 000

Twelve candidates were selected for the PET bursary Class of 2024, while five applicants will receive funding from the Peermont Community Benefit Trust (PCBT) this year.

Germiston resident Bulelwa Masaka recently received an all-expenses-paid scholarship valued at over R170 000 from the Peermont Education Trust (PET).

Bulelwa received her official scholarship letter and education pack from PET Trustees Vusi Zwane and Oren Fuchs and Peermont CEO Nigel Atherton at an induction function at Emperors Palace on February 17.

Bulelwa matriculated from Alafang Secondary School with one distinction and will study for a BSc degree in meteorology at the University of Pretoria without any financial worries, thanks to the PET and the Palace of Dreams.

Bulelwa was joined at the mid-month function by 17 other lucky Ekurhuleni community members who also received scholarships.

Additionally, a member of the Class of 2023 had his scholarship extended much to his excitement.

The PET bursary and PCBT are the Palace of Dreams’ corporate social investment (CSI) initiatives.
