Three killed, two injured in Germiston crash
Three people lost their lives and two others were injured when a car crashed into poles and a wall in Germiston in the early hours of Monday morning.
The City of Ekurhuleni DEMS has confirmed that three adults died and two others were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Germiston on Monday, September 1.
DEMS spokesperson said rescue teams were called to the s

cene at 03:09 after a sedan collided with stationary objects, including poles and a concrete wall, at the crossroads of Linton Jones Road and Brammer Street.
“Three of the occupants, two men and a woman, sustained multiple traumatic injuries and were declared dead on the scene by paramedics.

“The other two, a man and a woman, suffered serious injuries and were taken to nearby medical facilities by ambulance,” DEMS reported.

Emergency teams had to use specialised hydraulic rescue equipment, commonly known as the Jaws of Life, to free the five occupants who were trapped inside the wrecked vehicle.
Linton Jones Road was temporarily closed to traffic during rescue operations.
