In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month this October, Better Primrose is supporting the Gently-Worn Bra Drive.
In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month this October, Better Primrose is supporting the Gently-Worn Bra Drive, held in partnership with the I Love Boobies campaign.
This year’s theme is ‘Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters’.
This heartfelt project aims to collect gently worn bras and lightly used items that are still in great condition and can be comfortably worn by someone else.
All donated bras will be gifted to women undergoing breast cancer screening, offering both comfort and care during what is often a vulnerable and emotional time.

“Through this simple yet powerful act of kindness, residents can help restore dignity and show solidarity with women in need,” said Lisa Cairns, Better Primrose’s marketing representative.
Where to drop off your donations
Better Primrose is proud to serve as an official collection partner, with designated drop-off points located at:
• Ackermans Pharmacy (84 Rietfontein Road, Primrose).
• Ackermed (101 Rietfontein Road, Primrose).
Bra bins will be placed in-store at both depots, making it easy for community members to drop off donations throughout the collection period.
“Sometimes it’s the smallest gestures that carry the most love. By donating a bra, you’re not only providing physical comfort, but also sending a message of hope, strength, and care to women facing difficult times,” said Cairns.
The community is encouraged to rally behind this wonderful cause by contributing or helping spread the word.
