The upcoming much anticipated “African Explosion” boxing tournament taking place at Emperors Palace has been postponed to March 1 and will be taking place in the Theatre of Marcellus.
The previous reported date was February 15.
WBA and IBO Strawweight Champion of the World, Hekkie “The Hexecutioner” Budler, will headline the African Explosion Tournament.
The “Emperors Palace Kid”, as Budler is also known, will defend both his titles in the main bout of the tournament, when he takes on Columbian Karluis Diaz, to cement his (Budler’s) position as the top ranked fighter in this division in the world.
Also fighting on the same bill will be fan favourite Johnny Muller, who takes on Wilbeforce Shihepo, of Namibia, for the WBC Silver International Light Heavyweight title.
Ryno Liebenberg will come up against Joey Vegas, of Uganda, for the WBC International Light Heavyweight title.
