It is a gloomy start to the festive season after a body was found around 05:30 in an open field on December 12.
According to SAPS Duduza’s spokesperson W/O Imtiaz Rasool, the victim (aged in his middle to late 50’s), was found by a passer-by next to the Blue Gum View cemetery. He immediately alerted the police and Duduza Emergency Services.
“The paramedics arrived shortly after the police and declared the victim dead. He allegedly suffered multiple stab wounds to the stomach and chest”, W/O Rasool said.
A charge of murder has been opened at SAPS Duduza.
“A full investigation into this crime is underway and we urge anyone with information to come forward”, W/O Rasool concluded.
