Nigel Rugby celebrates first and second team victories against Benoni Northerns

Nigel Rugby Club recorded two victories in their eighth Valke Peregrine League fixture at John Vorster Stadium, with the first team and second Team overcoming Benoni Northerns while the U21 side gained valuable experience.

Nigel Rugby Club delivered a strong performance during their eighth Valke Peregrine League fixture against Benoni Northerns at John Vorster Stadium on July 4, with the first and second teams securing important victories on home soil.

The matches showcased the determination, skill and depth within the Nigel Rugby Club setup as the teams battled against a competitive Benoni Northerns side.

The first team produced an impressive display to defeat Benoni Northerns 38-26. Nigel combined physical forward play with disciplined defence and effective attacking execution to control key moments of the match and secure a well-deserved victory.

The win highlighted the team’s consistency and ability to perform under pressure as they continue their campaign in the Valke Peregrine League. The second team also celebrated success after overcoming Benoni Northerns in a closely contested encounter.

Nigel showed resilience and composure throughout the match, eventually securing a hard-fought 31-26 victory.

The U21 team experienced a challenging fixture against Benoni Northerns, going down 58-5. Despite the result, the young players gained valuable match experience and continue to play an important role in the club’s development pathway.
