Ithafa Secondary School bids farewell to SGB members

They received a donation of pizzas from a local franchise.

Ithafa Secondary School hosted a successful school governing body (SGB) farewell function on March 20.

The school asked donations from several businesses for their function, and a local pizza franchise donated pizzas to the teachers and SGB members to show its appreciation to the SGB and teachers for the 87% pass rate of the Class of 2023.

Selby Nhlapho, the school’s administration officer, said they appreciated the efforts of the SGB. He said the school was in the process of electing new members.

“It was a pleasure to work with our members, and we have achieved good things together. We wish them all the best with their new endeavours,” Nhlapho said.

The SGB members were sad to leave, but said they appreciated the farewell and hoped the school would continue to improve and obtain good results with the Class of 2024.
