Ermelo SAPS recover a suspected illegal firearm

ERMELO – Police arrested two people after an accident in Jan van Riebeeck Street on July 12.
According to Captain Carla Prinsloo, Ermelo SAPS spokesperson, police were investigating information regarding a suspect with an illegal firearm.
They followed a tip-off and spotted the individuals in a vehicle.
A chase between the police and an Audi A4 ensued.
“The driver of the Audi skipped a stop sign and collided with a double cab GWM bakkie,” Prinsloo said.
Police searched the Audi and found the firearm.
