UPDATE: One fatality in N2 accident near Ermelo

A fatal accident occurred earlier this evening on the N2, about 35km from Ermelo, involving four semi-trucks and one light motor vehicle.
According to a paramedic of the Provincial Ambulance Services, one person has been confirmed dead at the scene.
A driver of a semi-truck was trapped in the wreckage but was freed with the assistance of the fire department and transported by ER24 to Ermelo Mediclinic for medical treatment.
Forensic services from the SAPS are en route to the scene.

A serious accident has occurred on the N2 between Ermelo and Piet Retief, about 35km from Ermelo.
According to information, the incident took place near the Sheepmoor and Amersfoort turnoff at the bridge.
