Man found dead inside substation in Wesselton

The man was found in the substation after community members reported a power outage in the area.

ERMELO – A man was found dead inside a substation in Wesselton, earlier this morning, 23 November.

According to preliminary information, community members reported a power outage in the area, when municipal workers were dispatched to the substation.

The man was found dead inside the substation.

Ermelo police, ER24 and EMS responded to the scene.

Highvelder sent enquiries to Captain Carla Prinsloo, spokesperson for Ermelo police and Mandla Zwane.

Zwane stated that the deceased was not a municipal employee and suggested the possibility of ulterior motives.

However, he emphasised that the exact circumstances surrounding the incident would form part of the ongoing investigation.
