Ermelo Toyota donates beds to support Breyten firefighters
The beds will be placed in the fire station's rest area to provide firefighters with a more comfortable space to rest between shifts.
ERMELO – Representatives and Aspirant Knights of Ermelo Toyota donated six beds and mattresses to the Breyten Fire Station last Wednesday in response to a request from the chief fire officer, Jaco Johnstone, of the Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue Services.
The Toyota Knights programme recognises top sales professionals for their exceptional service, leadership and community contributions, among others.
The donation is intended to improve resting facilities for firefighters who work long hours in challenging conditions to ensure the community’s safety.
In a statement, Roelof GrovĂ©, Ermelo Toyota’s dealer principal, said: “Our brave firefighters work long hours under intense conditions to keep our communities safe, and we believe it’s essential that they have a comfortable space to rest and recharge. We’re incredibly proud to contribute to their well-being and support the vital work they do daily.”
The beds will be placed in the fire station’s rest area to provide firefighters with a more comfortable space to rest between shifts.
GrovĂ© said the donation reflects Toyota’s commitment to supporting local emergency services.
