Starting at sunrise (6:00) from the Piet Retief Rugby Club, athletes tackled the scenic out-and-back route toward the Mahamba Border post.

The course, recognised as a qualifier for the Comrades and Two Oceans marathons, tested the runners’ endurance under warm conditions but rewarded them with an unforgettable experience.

The atmosphere was electric, with creative water points, cheering crowds, and volunteers ensuring that every athlete felt supported along the respective distances.
