Voting in the Best of Ermelo Readers’ Choice Awards has continued to climb steadily, with the total number of votes now surpassing 18 000 ahead of the competition’s closure at midnight tonight.

At the latest count, the Glam It Up category was leading the way with 6 097 votes, followed by Kids on 3 547 and Living on 2 623.

Healthcare recorded 1 948 votes, while Eat, Drink and Be Merry stood on 1 255.

Shopping had received 1 233 votes, Motoring 1 066 and Home Improvement 573.

Community members still have until midnight to cast their final votes for their favourite local businesses, services and personalities across the various categories.

Organisers have encouraged residents to make their final votes count before the polls officially close tonight, after strong public participation throughout the campaign period.
