Firefighters respond to burning Carolina house
A house fire in Ngaka Langa, Carolina, left a family in need after flames damaged their home on May 15. Emergency crews quickly contained the blaze and no injuries were reported.
CAROLINA – The Chief Albert Luthuli Municipality Fire and Disaster Management Team responded to a house fire in Ext 1, Ngaka Landa, on May 15.
Firefighting crews arrived on scene and managed to contain and extinguish the blaze before it could spread further. No injuries were reported during the incident.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established and remains under investigation.
Following the incident, the municipality’s disaster management team activated relief measures to assist the affected household.
Emergency supplies issued included bedding and food parcels.

Municipal officials said further assessments are under way to determine whether additional assistance will be needed.
The municipality also urged residents to remain vigilant and to prioritise fire safety in and around their homes.
Residents were encouraged to report fire-related emergencies immediately to local fire and disaster services.
Officials thanked emergency personnel for their swift response and continued service to communities across the municipality.
