Bakers invited to support Highvelder’s charity cupcake drive

A community baking effort aims to help raise funds for improvements at a shelter caring for animals.

ERMELO – Highvelder is calling on local bakers and community members to support its cupcake stall at the Ermelo Toyota Legend Fest on June 20.

Cupcakes will be sold at R5 each, with all proceeds going towards charitable initiatives supported by Ermelo Toyota and the Ermelo Toyota Knights.

This year’s fundraiser will specifically help fund a new roof for a local animal shelter outside Ermelo.

Residents are encouraged to donate cupcakes in batches of 12, 24 or more.

Donations can be delivered to the Highvelder offices at 43 Kerk Street on June 19 or to the cupcake stall at Ermelo Toyota between 07:00 and 08:00 on June 20.

Those who cannot bake are encouraged to support the initiative by purchasing cupcakes on the day.
