Bakkie, vehicle collide on N2 near Ermelo
Road users are advised to consider alternative routes as a collision and ongoing roadworks affect traffic outside Ermelo.
A collision involving a bakkie and a light motor vehicle on the N2 between Ermelo and Piet Retief briefly caused traffic disruptions this afternoon.
ER24 and Ermelo Towing Services (ETS) responded to the scene.
The extent of any injuries has not yet been confirmed, although no serious injuries were immediately apparent at the scene.
Traffic was temporarily controlled by a stop-and-go system while the damaged vehicles were removed from the roadway.
The N2 has since been reopened to traffic in both directions.
