{From the editor’s desk} – Have yourselves a merry little Christmas

Our lives have become encased in statistics, our decisions to vaccinate or not scrutinised and subsequently our way of living altered for the unforeseeable future.

This year has been marked by several economic challenges, with Covid-19 that continues to be our most taxing quandary.

Our lives have become encased in statistics, our decisions to vaccinate or not scrutinised and subsequently our way of living altered for the unforeseeable future.

That being said, we still have a lot to be thankful for.

As the end of another year is nigh, and as we celebrate this holiday season, Highvelder wishes to thank our readers and clients for your unswerving loyalty and resolute support.

For many of us, a new year comes with new challenges, some of these challenges bearing a facade of ‘new’ even though they might be tests we’ve failed this year or perhaps even the year before.

It’s a common ideology we share as we enter the month of January, that the new year will be bigger, better and bolder!

This reminds me of the saying that January 1 is the first blank page of a 365-page book.

Even though this, to some, may seem to be the ideal opportunity to start over, let’s not forget that Rome wasn’t built in a hypothetical 365-page book.

Gradually ease into 2022 and outline your priorities, steadily work towards the goals that you have set for yourself.

Even though you are the author of your book, do not make it all about yourself – be kind to people, treat them well, be more forgiving and lend a hand.

If we can change our own hearts, we’ll make a big difference in the coming year.

The Highvelder team’s wishes for our readers and clients are peace, joy and prosperity throughout the coming year.

We look forward to working with you in the years to come.
