Wesselton Karate Club revives township karate

A trio, led by Sensei Nsizwa, are sharing their skills with the community at large.

The Wesselton Karate Club is on a mission to revive township karate.

The three men at the forefront are Sensei Nsizwa Wellington Thanjekwayo, Sensei Mthobisi “Garage” Mtshali and Sempai Mthokozisi Zwelibanzi “Mzwenge” Mnisi.

The trio, led by Sensei Nsizwa, grew up in the sport and are sharing their skills with the community at large.

An accredited karate trainer, Sensei Nsizwa has travelled the world with the sport.

Born and bred in Breyten, he joined karate as a teenager in 1981 and has never looked back.
