Soccer teams kick off during tournament in Ermelo

Soccer teams competed in the annual soccer tournament at Cassim Park grounds on 1 December.

More than 600 players formed part of 62 teams and competed in seven divisions.

The results are as follows:

Houghton beat Ermelo 4-0 in the under seven division and won against Unity FC 3-2 in the under nine division.

Ermelo then won against Standerton 1-0 in the under 11 division and beat Carolina 1-0 in the under 13 division.

In the U/15 division, Pietersburg beat Ababeel on penalties.

Ermelo U/17 won against Alpha FC on penalties.

The senior winners of the tournament were Volksrust as they beat Heidelberg on penalties.
