The run marked Van Rooyen’s 16th at Kralinbergh and his 32nd overall parkrun.

Jeffrey van Rooyen won the weekend’s Kralinbergh parkrun with about five minutes separating him from the second place finisher.

He completed the race in a time of 25:03, falling about two minutes short of his personal best.

Aarifah Essa was a first-timer at Kralinbergh. She has completed three parkruns overall.

The organisers of Ermelo’s parkrun invite all residents to participate in this 5km walk or jog route.

Every Saturday, the Kralinbergh Parkrun is open to the public and is free of charge.

Those who do not wish to walk or jog the trail, may sign up to volunteer.
