Ermelo runners shine at Wakkerstroom Mountain Challenge

The annual Wakkerstroom Mountain Challenge drew competitors from several running clubs as athletes battled it out across four distances.

Runners from across Mpumalanga gathered in Wakkerstroom on June 27 for the 15th annual Wakkerstroom Mountain Challenge, hosted by the Volksrust Marathon Club.

The event featured a 21.1km race, a 16km trail run, a 10km run/walk and a 5km fun run/walk.

Podium finishers represented clubs from across the province and neighbouring regions in another competitive edition of the annual event.
