Care Bears Wonderland children step up for annual big walk

The children laced up their running shoes for the Fancy Dress themed big walk earlier today.

CARE Bears Wonderland Pres-School in Pinetown held its annual Big Walk on Friday, 27 October.

This years theme was ‘fancy dress’. The kiddies adorned Disney character costumes to Superhero outfits to make the day extra special.

The aim of the event was to raise funds to provide heating for the swimming pool and place Astro turf in the babies play area.

The day was a huge success, the kids were excited and ready to take on the Big Walk. The younger children completed 10 laps while the rest of the school took on the mighty 20 laps.

At the end of the race, the children were rewarded with a juice, packet of chips and ice lollies.

Kristin Alexander Smith, administrator at the school said: “We had a lovely morning with loads of energy and excitement for our fancy dress big walk. To the parents who were able to attend thank you so much for your support, the children loved having the cheer and encouragement. I’m sure you can agree they had fun.”
